Much ado about nothing.
my life as of late..

I’ve been doing a lot of sewing lately. I participated in a global wide embroidery project. Ironically, having to do with war. It called for embroidered handkerchieves in native languages from all over the world. It’ll be made into a quilt and hung in a museum. After completing this, Jeff and I went to d.c. I got to see his late grandmother’s sewing supplies along with her own embroidered pieces. Jeff said I could have some vintage pinking shears and an array of buttons. Before we left d.c., we visited the holocaust museum. Jeff’s grandmother had a 2 hour interview in the museums archive. We watched it and I bawled. She spoke of her time spent in the concentration camps. She was in a labor camp. Forced to cut off the buttons of dead soldiers uniform. I made the connection to our first day in d.c. when I asked to have the scissors and buttons. That moment is forever imbedded in my mind.
Jeff proposed to me shortly after. The moment was beautiful and amazing!

This image is one of the most powerful pro-choice images I’ve ever seen. When I saw it in the newspaper I immediately cut it out and hung it on my wall.
